Ok I know this will sound a bit weird but I’ve been thinking about how we could improve the shitty reflectors without spending $$$. I’m about to do the cheap projector mod and I’m going to play around with a spare set of lights before, so I was thinking about trying to cover the insides with the foil.
Thoughts? Has it been done/tried? If I get anywhere and it’s not been posted I’ll do a write up.
Has anyone tried aluminum foil to fix headlights?

There were a couple links about a month ago to people trying foil solutions: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=91577

There was a company that sold a metallic chrome look-alike spray that was rather impressive. Haven't tried it on reflectors yet.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Why don't you try with car wrapping shop?
There is Oracal chrome foil on the market which could be used on reflectors.
It should last few years.

From the optics guy
Moving light efficiently requires precision on surfaces, and foil won’t be very good in this regard.

I only use aluminum foil on my head....for the aliens.....
Seriously though, the old guys used to have their reflectors "re-silvered," but now I'm not sure what the process is, or who did it? A chrome shop?

Foil works on diffused lights, rear or the one above the stove that usually doesn't even have a reflector to begin with. Not precision lights such as a headlight.
