'99 V70 Base ETS lit

Apologize in advance for not having precise VIDA fault language. It was something along the lines of sensor voltage too high and cruise control not responding. Accelerator pedal sensor?

ETM is a rebuilt Xemodex unit.

Any thoughts? Feels like car might be running a little rough.

Sometimes faulty ETMs call out the accelerator pedal which is a potentiometer in this case. Even though it's a XeModex it's entirely possible it has failed. Did you purchase it directly for this vehicle?

Thanks Mike. Yep. Purchased directly for this vehicle. Rough running is really a squeaky dash. Car seems to be performing fine. I need to kill the light before I take for vehicle inspection tomorrow. Even then, they'll probably be able to detect the light was recently extinguished. Is there a recognized VIDA procedure for extinguishing ETS light?

You might be able To pass inspection if CEL isn’t on. Ask inspector!

You can clear the codes and hope the DTC doesn't return, but I don't think you can force it off. Unless you use the ETS light "off" command in the "vehicle communication" section and it stays that way... but I'm not sure that will work.
As long as it's not throwing a P-code, you should be okay for inspection. Here in NC as long as your CEL isn't on and there are no current faults, you're good to go. Most inspectors don't worry about SRS, ABS, and other similar lights.

ETS light is back, ugh. Haven't had a chance to scan, but self-extinguished a while back and has returned sporadically.

The 10,000 mile end of life cycle. Slight accelerated.

I think Xmodex warrantees them for life , don’t they?

Yup, Xemodex ETMs are lifetime warranty. From what I've heard, their warranty process is pretty easy and painless as well.
