Re: Rust protection improvement

I'm concerned about large scale rust protection, such as coating the entire underside of a car. A "quick and dirty" body shop once suggested that they could spray large sections of the car with POR 15. I've had mixed results with it, where it has been solid on my rusted heat shield for years but simply rusted around the repair on my 240 floorboards (so not the POR 15's fault?).

Always use the POR rust preparation spray first in addition to any other surface preparation methods they recommend.

Fluid film is cool, wcm has it on his car
I lied about wcm’s csr, I’ll get him to cough up the product name.

Aero 303 or something like that?

Don't apply it to electrical if you can avoid it.

I bought corrosionX-hd this year, I used it on my truck and will be applying it to the volvo I hope soon.
It's just like fluidfilm a bit thicker and a lot more pricier. I liked everything I read about it.
I've only used fluidfilm in the can so I can't really compare the viscosity in bulk form but I can't see this stuff
in a can.

Regardless of brands used you want at least two different products. A thin oil to penetrate well, reach every corner inside the car and stop rust that had already started and then a thicker product to protect from mechanical wear.

corossionX-hd has good creep factor, it will do both. It is used in the aircraft industry and recommended for boat trailers.
With that said, it is my first time using it and I'm curious how it will hold up on my old pickup.
I do plan on using on the volvo here before the month is over. I've just been so busy I haven't had a chance yet.
