ECM location or how to turn off check engine light
ECM location or how to turn off check engine light
Got the code P0015 and ordered the parts; the cam shaft position sensor, crank shaft position sensor, V V T. While waiting for the parts, disconnected the battery-positive and negative-for 4 days. Put in the parts and the check engine light is still on. Have read that removing the ECM will turn off the check engine light but haven't been able to get a schematic of where the ECM is for the Volvo s40 2003 turbo 1.9 Lt. Does anyone have a better idea of how to reset the check engine light or turn it off so I can see if I have solved the problem with my Volvo. Any suggestions

What type of scan/reset tool are you using?
I once had a stubborn CEL and ultimately had to reset the ECU with help from the scan tool (ScanGauge II) manufacturer.
All was good afterward.
