I temp gunned the dipstick on the 279k XC70 (which gets parked outside) this morning after an overnight low of only -7F. I had run the oil pan heater on a timer for about 1hr 20 minutes prior & the dipstick temp was 21 degrees. I installed that oil pan heater when the car had 200,000 miles on it. When my wife takes that car to work & it's below 5-10 degrees she leaves it plugged in for her 12 hour shifts. Good little heaters.

It needs to hit -15 before we consider naked snowblower races. I'll keep those pics to myself.
