2006 gear shift knob.

2006 gear shift knob.

Recently a small piece of plastic fell from the top right hand side of the gear shift.
In it's place now is a piece of metal protruding. I haven't tried to pull or push it in
or out in case I cocked something up.
Any ideas please as to what or why it is.

Try asking in the 01-07 model section, linked here. This section is for 97-00 V70s.
