I noticed the trash talk about ARD tunes over the last 8 years or so, but always chalked it up to a vocal minority, the kind that are loud but don't have much actual effect.

Well, that's incorrect. The pond, I now see, is indeed small.

He started out strong. He was active here and other forums, writing Fast Fridays like a man possessed for a solid year. He and I were in close touch then... 2012. His brand was nothing if not strong.

Then he diversified into turbo impellers and other go-fast goodies. I'd have bet on his horse back then.

My (biased) view on the go Fast crowd is much more talk than money. Thats disaster for a business plan.

Evidence - look at the Rs.

They are either beautiful or thrashed out.

There are also the nicely done Rs (and lots of 850s and T5s because Rs are overrated... this coming from an R owner... too heavy with the AWD crap). Look up bdub on Volvospeed. He has a REALLY nice saffron V70R that's making well over 400 hp.
Mine will be making decent power one day, but it's just not a priority right now. Before that happens I need to sell my Miata and S70. The turbo alone will cost over 3x more than I paid for the car. It was definitely a pile of crap when I bought it... it was clean inside and out, but everything was run into the ground. The trans was shot, whole suspension was totally blown out, engine was severely neglected, etc. Now I run it hard to clear out all the garbage!

Props to you for working it back to Stage 0, then getting it sorted out.
