Vida Dice Findings

Post by subzerocarfanatic »

Can anyone maybe help shine light on some info on my findings with Dice tool. Here is an image for starters. The accelerator pedal is a fairly new OEM Volvo that was replaced before i bought the car. My ETM seems to past the test so i can now remove that from the equation of it being the culprit.

In that case i would check the wiring and connectors.
Is the car in question 2000 C70?
As far as i know if you replace etm on '99+ cars...it needs to be programmed in order to work, because they are "married" with the car.

I could be wrong,so i would wait abscate or someone with '99+ car to chime in.

According to the ETM test done with VIDA DICE it passed the ETM test, both potentiometers were in sync with one another, if there was a way to share the short video recording i made while running the graph test i would put it on here to share my results.

I would snag a accelerator pedal assembly from a junk yard if you can find one. That seems to be VIDAs biggest complaint.

I don't think the pedal sensor has to be married in software to the car but I could be wrong, I have swapped ETMs between cars and left the original pedal sensor there.

Neither Pedal sensor nor ETM are married to VIN but ETM must match software in ECM

If you pseudo- randomly swap an ETM from Magneti Marrelli, it’s roughly a 20% chance of working

It has a practically a w pedal assembly, an OEM Volvo one, the guy i bought the car from said he just spent around $200 for it and installed it right before i bought the car. But something is clearly not working properly

How can i find out what software the ECM has because i saw everything in the vida test about the ETM, software number and everything and it says software was up to date i believe.
