Replaced my power steering pump with a junkyard unit. Funny enough the Haynes manual instructs you to remove the bolts that hold the two halves of the pump together, as apposed to the bolts that hold it to the bracket.
After I got a check engine and a P0118 code, so I'm worried I messed up the wires somehow.
What did you do to your Volvo today? Topic is solved

Check your coolant temp sensor wiring. It’s been known to fall apart, so it would be a good idea to check that out.smacknab wrote: ↑10 Jan 2020, 18:15 Replaced my power steering pump with a junkyard unit. The sensor itself is new and in good shape, but the other side of the wiring is not looking so good. I'm not sure where it goes but I'm gonna figure out how to refresh that.

Replaced the front left CV Axle and gave the car it's first official oil change (Mann filter and new plug and washer). The CV axle was the last fix that I knew about when I bought the car, and it's now been about 3000 miles of me having the car so I thought some might find this amusing- this is everything I've done or had to do to the car since buying it:
Oil and filter (blue AutoZone filter)
Coolant flush (volvo)
Timing belt (water pump and pulleys, FCP Euro kit)
Thermostat (FCP euro)
Coolant temp sensor (FCP Bosch)
Serp Belt
Spark plugs (double platnum Bosch)
O2 front sensor (Bosch)
Air Filter
Fuel filter
Cabin air filter
Starter (used)
New Battery
AC Delete (sourced and installed bracket)
Alternator (used unit)
Serp Tensioner (after market)
Engine mounts (bottom right OEM, aftermarket trans torque mount and ipd Poly top bushing)
Manual Transmission fluid (volvo)
Calipers (rebuilt), Rotors (new), Pads(new)
+flushed and bled brakes with new DOT4+
+inspected parking brake (needs a clip on left back wheel)
Craigslist Winter tires + rims (balanced)
Head gasket (Volvo)
Valve stem seals (Volvo)
Surface Head
PCV Kit (fcp)
Replace Dipstick tube and dipstick (updated model)
Front vaccum lines
Radiator hoses (Volvo + 1 aftermarket I forgot to buy)
Coil boot
Coolant Level sensor (FCP)
Cleaned throttle body (and new gasket)
Cleaned MAF
Negative Battery cable crimp
Vaccum hose behind the fuel filtel (fuel evap?)
Heater core (new Behr heater core)
Power steering pump (used unit)
Power steering flush (green fluid)
CV Axle Front Left (aftermarket from API)
First 3k mile oil change
Oil and filter (blue AutoZone filter)

Installed a Boost gauge on my 99 GLT. The main reason why I installed it was to diagnose an issue that I was having. I learned a few things... I am over boosting on initial acceleration, then boost cut kicks in at around 10 or 11 psi (depending on how accurate the gauge is). If I feather the throttle and keep it below 7 psi, The performance is perfect. Now I just need to chase what is causing the boost spikes. Boost Sensor is brand new as well as the TCV solenoid. I tested the wastegate actuator with a mightyvac and it moves. I need to take the shield off tomorrow and see if the the wastegate itself is binding.

You checked the wastegate with the pressure setting, correct? Most Mityvac models only do vacuum.
I believe the GLT should be set to 2 PSI, but I'd have to confirm that.
