Crank but no start 1996 850 Turbo

Post by jakethesnake »

Hey forum,

I've run into a starting problem.
At first it was intermittent, meaning it would take more cranks than usual to start, but it would still start and once it was running it would stay running. As time progressed though it got worse until finally it wouldn't start at all.
You can hear the fuel being primed.
Plugs are sparking.
I'm thinking crank sensor maybe?
I ruled out fuel pump relay even though it is a common failure on these, but could it be?

thanks in advance

Check out your Cam Position Sensor. Replaced my distributor and busted the connector without realizing it and car would turnover, but failed to start. Saw it and have temporarily connected it together with some electrical tape until I can get new one installed.
