Thank you so much for your compliment. Some call me a little on the eccentric side because I hold on to things that are old and still work, just like my 80's Kirby vacuum sweeper. I'm a simple girl with a big heart... although I am currently upset at myself for not jumping on eBay and grabbing the center cap Rick found for me. They're impossible to find and I thought I had an account with eBay, I didn't so today I registered and it's SOLD. Any advice on Part #283092 center cap? I don't even know how to reach the guy who sold it. eBay's not the easiest site to use in my opinion. Again thank you, -Creekshiloh51933 wrote: ↑16 Jan 2020, 11:58Your Volvo is gorgeous!! Looks better than brand new and looking at it brings back memories of a better time. Today people just throw everything away and don't appreciate what they have in front of them. There was guy on LINY who had a 3 million mile 1966 p1800. He was the original owner, Irv Gordon and he passed away about a year ago while he was out touring his P1800 for Volvo.creekybird wrote: ↑12 Jan 2020, 01:52 I love my Volvo & bought it in 1981. P.S. Post a pix of your Green Volvo.

If he has other items for sale you should be able to "Ask Seller a Question". That's how I remember it. But looking at a sold item, just that page itself, no.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Volvo used this cap from 1975---1984. T-Brick forum has a more active parts wanted section; one could post over there.

Ebay seller's have a link you click on with your mouse. You can click on the sellers name or business name or click on "ask seller questions " link. I'd try that and maybe he has another center cap or knows of someone who has one. Good luck with your search and thank you for showing your Volvo to us.

I'm a big fan of Pick Your Part but I live in So. Cal. where they have a lot of yards. There is a 1981 Volvo 244 in a yard in San Diego, about 100 from me. Worthwhile if I had another reason for going to San Diego (I don't). There are no yards in New York, the closest would be Maryland where there are five. There is a 1982 244 in one of those yards. By center cap I'm guessing you're talking about a wheel center cap. The 244 in Maryland has flat hubcaps. Maybe a more traditional junkyard search might turn up somethinng closer if you don't mind used parts.

Hi Nav!
Oh, I've gone to junkyards many times. I learned a lesson, never pay with a credit card at one. lol...... The specific cap is part # 283092, which you probably already saw throughout this thread. I'm on 4 hrs. sleep and headed to another set tomorrow. I cannot figure out in the thread where to post a pix of my orange beauty named Shirley. So am sending this to you: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1243222/
My best,
-Creek

Nice photos! After posting about Pick Your Part (and realizing that I had confused the location of the purchaser) I ran across a salvage yard not too far from you that specializes in Swedish Cars, maybe you've been there. It's called, appropriately enough, Swedish Salvage Auto Parts. They're in Sun Valley at 12119 Branford St. I see two phone numbers: 818-834-0051 and 818-899-8891. I saw your other post, with photo, and thought I'd see what I could find. I didn't come up with much but I ran across an old ebay listing for 4 of those caps wrapped in plastic bags for $81 all four. Is that the ad you saw? The seller was masonsmommom (as in Danish mormor = grandma?). I don't think that name will help you much, she's sold almost 20,000 items on ebay so I'm sure the real seller was someone who gave those caps to her to sell for him or her. Anyway, Pick Your Part in Sunland has a car I'd like to see, if/when I go I could stop in Sun Valley, it's close. I'm in Arizona for a day or two more, it might be next week before I can go over there.
