Water leaking down to front passenger seats from sunproof

Hi,

I found issue with the sunproof's exhaust water pipe, the end of the pipe was broken .

And many things inside the water pipe, like small tree branches, leaves, and many dirts.

How dirty of the both pipes, as you can see from the color, dark brown !!!

I found alternative solution to cut the tube in the middle and added the new one, i bought it from home depo .5" with connector.

It works well, and flushed all the dirts inside as well.

I hope it works out for you, I personally dont like adding more couplers or T joints because its another area for potential leaks but I like the ingenuity.

Good find. Like I said in some videos, be aware that this will happen even on cars that never open the sunroof. As they get old, the gasket around the sunroof glass is less flexible and allows water to pass by and into the sunroof tray beneath. The problem is inside the big cities rains comes down with a lot of dust/dirt, which also gets past the seal and within months or years it ends clogging the drain tubes.

Nice solution! I ended up reusing the dirty drain tube and replacing the elbows with these. I imagine I'll have to redo these at some point since the smaller inner diameter will create some back pressure.
