Will this tire work

Post by URDRWHO »

I have a 2016 V60 T5 AWD and I would like a higher sidewall than what came with the car.  I would guess that if it works on a V60 Cross Country  the 235/50-18 will work on my 18 inc rims.

What say ye?

2016 V60 Cross Country
 18" 235/50-18

2016 V60 T5 AWD
18" 235/40-18

Probably, except the speedometer will be a bit of. Fitting 17" rims is probably a better option.

Yes the speedo will be off.

The twin of my V60 is the Cross Country V60, which comes with a 235/50/18 as a standard tire and I'm wondering if a computer update would sync the speedo?

In theory yes but since the car isn't certified for the size I don't think any dealer will do it (if they even can). Someone else who works with the car's computers might be able to I guess.

I still believe smaller rims is the better option overall.
