Wife has advised that she'd like to upgrade her 2008 V70 3.2 to a 2015+ V60.
I've surfed and searched a bit here and could not find a 'common issues' or 'shopping guidance' thread. Apologies if I have missed it (hints appreciated).
We are looking for 2015-2018 V60. Generally we chose FWD over AWD to keep maintenance and future risk-of-failures as low as possible.
1. Any strong guidance on robustness of FWD over AWD?
2. Other common failure modes to be aware of when shopping? suggested detection methods?
3. Any particular features on these cars to avoid when shopping because they are prone to $$$ failures?
I am technically savvy and do most of my own work (I usually cry 'uncle' at automatic transmission disassembly) - all advice appreciated.
