'06 XC70 compression issue

Interested in your insight as to what the most likely problem is? Other than the MAF of course. Which I seem to consistently continue to purchase bad ones. I went ahead and paid for a big diagnostic. Mechanic swapped out my new Bosch MAF with an old, known, good one and it seems to have solved the problem I was looking to fix. I'm glad I went down the road I did as it turns out I have low compression on two cylinders.

Compression test Cylinde #1 160, #2 170 #3 160, #4 95 #5 75

Ideas of most likely cause?

Most likely is: Head Gasket between cylinders #4 & #5 has failed.

Do a wet compression test and post the numbers.

That's what I've been thinking.

No difference with the wet test. So, head gasket or valves. Periodic noise (if you listen for it) and oil consumption makes me think valves.
