Shark Fin Antenna Removal
Has anyone had to remove the roof shark fin antenna to replace the double stick seal? Am I correct you can use dental floss to cut it free and remove and reseal it without any removal or dropping down the headliner? Thanks for your help.

Old post, but my new problem. . Braided fishing line tied around a couple of pencils makes a fine garrot for cutting the seal. Pulling and sawing gently got it done. You really don't have to pull very hard. I'm mounting a backup cam in the unused satellite radio antenna spot

Hey! Yep, you can usually use dental floss or fishing line with WD-40 to cut the double-stick seal and remove the shark fin antenna without dropping the headliner. Clean, reapply 3M tape or silicone, and reconnect. Check your car’s manual to confirm it’s not bolted. Stream ecouter les radio en ligne on Radio Gratuite while working! Any bolts on yours?
