Weird door lock problem xc70

Post by Sweed »

My 06 xc70 will randomly lock the driver door only when i leave the car running in park when i get out of the car. Im worried at some point it may lock all doors while running. Any ideas what's causing this?

huh that is odd. I had an incident where this happened (keys locked in the car and running at work) and I tried to recreate it in my driveway back home (where the spares are) and couldn't.

I tried turning the car on, pressing the button for lock, and then closing the door. but it still unlocks the car. I don't know how I locked my keys in the car at work.

Possible could be a lock module failure? I really doubt it.

I swapped the lock mechanism in the driver door. That did the trick. No more getting locked out.

I had a random lock out this summer without the car running. I had place the key fob in the back of the wagon and closed the hatch. It locked! Never figured it out. Good luck. I'll monitor the responses you get!
