The difficult part of the repair is to clean all that deer kill from inside the nooks and crannies.
I’ve found a hose rinses off the feathers. Oh wait, that’s killdeer hits
Not funny! My old 850 got attacked by a killdeer multiple times a few years ago because we parked in his territory. Never saw the nest but it must have been close by.

Interestingly, his ECM wasn't damaged (sits behind the right headlight). I filmed an S60 with 70K miles at the junkyard that rear ended the underride guard of a semi truck, that kicked through the hood right into the ECM module - here in Canada is upwards $2500 just for that module

Did something similar with my old Camry wagon except there were rib bones poking out of the grill. Funniest thing was a cop was directing traffic around an accident later that day and did not blink twice at my blood covered bones sticking out smashed frond end Camry going slowly by. Thank God the deer died instantly, I was having a fear of knocking on doors at 0530 asking to borrow a gun and getting reported as some kind of psycho or having to beat the thing to death with a lug wrench and getting turned into the SPCA.
