Replacing 960 premium factory Radio

Hello all,

I'm new to the Volvo scene. Came across a pretty clean 960, but I need to put a new radio in as the original one no longer works.

So I bought a dash kit and wiring harness only to realize a few hours ago that the factory radio is the premium audio system, which the dash kit will not work on.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this? Would really appreciate any ideas to work around this or links to a kit that would work for this radio.

Also, consider getting a used replacement Volvo radio for about $50, and I think (at least at one time) there are some gadgets from GROM that will plug in and pretend to be a CD changer allowing you to use modern electronics (mp3/android/iphone). But I think these may not be available anymore.

The Pioneer European car install kit fits perfectly after trimming the left and right rails of the original radio console. I just just finished doing this to my 1988 760.
