04 XC90 power steering leak

Post by KevinCro »

Hello guys I have a power steering leak from the pressure hose. However, given that some "less than impressive" work was done on the vehicle before I got it, i have found a lot of loose hoses and connections. Is there a way to check the connection to the rack without dropping the subframe? Thats a lot of work for a simple loose hose fitting.
Thank you
Kevin

.
Give the ATP AT-205 Re-Seal Stop Leak a try before tearing into everything.

It also sealed the "pinch" type power steering hose connection at the pump which ails Honda Odysseys. That one has been seeping for years. When I took the 03 Odyssey in for the Takata Air Bag recall Honda recommended over $2K worth of work and the seeping hose was one of the problems. It's OK now.
Blessings,

Have a look at the second review of the product. I don't know what types of seals are in the power steering, but it seems the product will damage some type of seal materials. It appears it contains a solvent that softens rubber seals - perhaps what makes them seal again, but deteriorates other types of seal materials https://www.amazon.com/AT-205-Seal-Leak ... merReviews
