Pulled out AMP, dry as a bone as I regularly check the drain tubes in sunroof and cowl drains, so no corrosion at all.

UPDATE: I pulled out rear located AM/FM tuner module, and when disconnected, both AM/FM and now CD is not working, so given this, does anyone know which MOST connection is in line, does the connection go to radio head first, then to rear AM/FM tuner and then last to the AMP? The reason I ask is that when I pulled fuse to AMP, the CD still operated fine, kind of strange since you would think AMP fuse would pull down CD from working, unless it does not go through AMP which makes no sense, but then again, Volvo's never make any sense, at least not common sense. lol

Having the same is here on a 04 XC90 I literally just bought. Last night when I test drove it was working great. Today after purchase it doesn’t even turn on? The guy I bought it from days it has a mind of its own and will work for awhile and then doesn’t. Nothing on the screen comes on. All HVAC stuff below works - following thread to see if I can find help :-(

My radio turned off/blacked out. I disconnected one terminal at the battery, I pulled out and reinstall the fuses one by one from the side of dash at driver side and also the fuses at rear left quarter panel. Then I reconnected the battery terminal. The radio reset and powered up. Save my self $180.00 that the dealer was asking for diagnostic cost.

My wife's 2004 VOLVO XC90 T6 has issues with cd player not working. When you first start up ignition the cd player sounds like it's searching for a disc but never finds a disc. Her AM/FM radio still works. Anyway after reading this thread it sounds like the head units have a bunch of issues on these earlier model XC90 's.

I am going to give the battery and fuse deal. I did the battery reset but did not do the fuses. I know the rear block does have some dust to her. I tried looking at the trunk line from pass seat to under the shift console and the seat belt wires. Still no radio and intermittent CD.
