Seller says front, passenger axle needs to be replaced (torn outer boot) as well as struts (but I can do those
If I recall the passenger front axle is the longer, more expensive and complicated replacement axle? I also seem to remember that if some procedure relating to draining tranny ATF before removing the axle is not followed, the angle gear can be flooded with ATF and get screwed up? Does this sound right or is this carry over info from my years with my '04 XC90 2.5T?
How would your rate the difficulty of replacing the passenger side axle? I'm a confident and experienced DIYer, but am leery of the x factor of North Eastern cars and rust complicating parts swapping. I also know popping hte axles out wrong can damage inner seals, correct?
Thanks!
