C30 Suspension Upgrade

After purchasing a set of 15mm wheel spacers for the rear and trying 3 sets of lug nuts we had to return everything. Found a set of 25mm / 1" which was $20 dollars cheaper to the ideal 20mm spacers so decided to give it a try. So far it's working out well. Was a little late in the evening so no other pictures.

Sway Bar to arrive this week and new vertical end link to factory horizontals next week.

.
I think this style is called Vertical links because the end of the sway bar ends are Vertical whereas the 08 C30 T5_2.0 has flat horizontal ends from the factory.

So the installation was not difficult. The car feel is like sitting on a wooden stool as it does not lean much in a turn but you do feel force on you. Steering is quicker during turn in and pretty neutral. Response is excellent turning the car quickly left and right. Strange for the car to not lean in a turn although we have not push it.

If I were to do this over I would just purchase a used Mazda 3 25mm bar instead of this 27mm bar. Son didn't want any used parts as we don't know if it was stressed by the previous owner or came from a wrecked car.

The Whiteline BMR88Z Sway Bar has vertical ends vs the factory horizontals. At 27mm there was still room in the bushings but I think that's as big it can handle without the bushing getting too thin.

Purchased the end links from FCP. The lower control arm mounting hole is much larger due to the bushings going into the hole. The new set up has the bolt in the hole so I had to cut two pieces of clear tubing in order to center the bolt. I did use the old nut from the factory end link as it was longer and was flared at the bottom acting like a washer. The clear tubing did not need to be removed and there is no noise.
