Hi everyone,
First post on here. Just got the CEL on with the following codes P0236&P0237. The code reader says it is the turbocharger boost sensor A circuit. From what I can tell from the forums maybe it is a failed or dirty MAP sensor? From my forum searching I’m having trouble locating it. I guess it’s in a different spot on the 01 vs the 02 and beyond. Anyway if anyone can guide me in finding and fixing this CEL I’d really appreciate it. The car is otherwise drivable and seems to be running well. Thank you.

The boost sensor will be someplace in the charged air. Follow the charged air from the turbo to the Manifold. It should be on the cold side of the Intercooler or the pipe to the manifold.
You can ignore P0236 for now P0237 will trip a P0236 also.
Boost sensor:
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
If the control module receives a signal from the boost pressure sensor which is lower than 0.2 V (low signal) or higher than 4.85 V (high signal) it is interpreted as a fault and ECM-1600 is stored.
Substitute value
Boost pressure control runs in an open-loop, in other words set duty cycles are generated regardless of boost pressure.
Possible source
Signal too high:
none

Boost sensor:
- 1. Check and clean connector.
2. Check wiring for shorts and opens.
3. Pull the ECM and clean the connectors.
. (Make sure you get ECM full seated and the locks all the way, when you put it back in)
4. Replace Boost sensor.
