So, as a follow-up to this.
I purchased a set of those collars linked above and installed them on the wife's car over the weekend.
When we did the engine swap, I installed an "R" front bar with some poly bushings. Over the past couple of months I've noticed a rattle on the pass side from time to time. I traced it to the sway bar translating side-to-side in the bushings.
After installing these collars, the rattle is *mostly* gone. I say mostly, because they are kind of a pain to install, due to the location of the bar, and it's hard to get them in the perfect spot. I installed them on the outboard side of the bushings, but it might be easier to move them to the inside and access them from above. For certain, if you are installing poly bushings on a sway bar, it will be MUCH easier to install them then. I'll revisit the next time I have the car in the air.
I probably want to get a new set of bushings, to take car of the last tiny bit of rattle. I think the bar sliding back and forth has worn them a bit.
