I don't know what is resonating exactly. Hub itself - ok, exhaust valves - not ok. What happens if you disconnect VVT solenoid? Does resonating sound go away?

I'll complete collecting replacement parts this weekend -- exhaust vvt hub, cam seals, oil pump service kit, water pump, t-belt, s-belt, tensioners, and idler pulley -- anything missing?

My next step is collecting tools.

Don’t forget to have a few gallons of Zerex G-05 & distilled water on hand. Your water pump bolts need sealant on them too, I use new bolts but many reuse the old ones with sealant on them.

Oil pump bolts - reuse but clean very thoroughly with solvent. I used Volvo anaerobic sealant on mine. Seal at uppermost portion of threads & under the head.

Correct. VVT won't advance angle.

Is this Volvo anaerobic sealant (PN 30644517) same as the one used on oil pan matting surface?

Correct. You could probably get away with any oil/fuel proof RTV though. I used it and have no leaks several thousand miles later.
