98 XC brake fit: 302mm rotor/caliper on Persus (16")

Will 302mm rotors with the bigger bracket fit with my 16" Persus wheels? Those wheels are ugly but are going at some point. I'm looking at a 302mm rotor that someone else suggested to the OP of his 2012 post. One of the commenters of that post said they look 'sexy'. I must admit they are different and look really good. I've added the 280mm and 295mm pairs to eBay cart.

I think I read that the Persus is the other wheel, aside from the Columbas, that the 302 brakes do not fit.

I just picked up a set of Perfos (similar to the Columbas) for the wife's 855 GLT today.

The Columba's are the only 16" 850 wheel that can clear 302mm - if you grind the caliper shoulders down a bit. You'd have to remove shoulders and shave a couple of mm off the entire top surface to make the Persus fit. As I'm sure you've seen they're quite tight on the standard 280mm ones.

Yeah, I was originally going to grind down some calipers and use the Columbas for our project, but decided just to try and source a set of wheels.
