R Engine Covers S60R V70R- Blue

I have a nice P2R spark plug cover and a so-so upper timing cover. No cracks on the spark plug cover, but the other cover has some small cracks, as shown in the pictures. Nothing too bad, it still holds on fine but it's not perfect.

$50 shipped for the pair, or $35 for the spark plug cover and $20 for the top timing cover.

I'll check for you just to be sure, I know I have some but I don't think they're in great shape.

These ones have been sold, by the way.

Thanks. I hate my blue covers!

They discolor from heat over time & just look terrible compared to everything else in the bay

Clean it with detergent, rinse good, wipe down with Acetone to get it squeaky clean.
Redye the cover blue. You can use a Plastic & Carpet Dye in a rattle can or dip dye it in Rit, the fabric dye.

Will Rit dye work for exterior trim? Mine look all dull gray.

The exterior trim is plastic Rit will work, or you can use Forever Black.

Forever Black is a dye not a wax. Just make sure you remove the trim or mask off anything you don't want permanently stained.

I have two of the upper timing covers, but no spark plug covers. Both of these are in pretty good shape overall.

If you're interested, I could probably find the spark plug cover and timing cover for you. Just let me know!

3 of mine looked terrible too, with the starting of the “stretch marks” or “zebra stripes” on the plastic cladding.

I used this stuff several times with very good results. Cars that sit outside year round seem much more prone to the stretch marks. My 06 XC stretch marks were pretty unresponsive. The V70AWD, V70R, and 04 XC70 all turned out excellent, dramatic reduction in the stretch marks & nice deep almost wet looking black (brown on XC) plastic cladding.

As Rick said, mask off any adjacent painted surfaces/headlights.
