The seal I need is the output shaft seal,at least that is what i think it is called. The RH side axle shaft seal, the seal that is on the end of the transmission where the axle slides into. RH side.

I confirmed that this was the correct part number, i finally was able to get the camera to zoom in on the seal enough to see the part # on the old seal.

I like this place for finding part numbers - note there is a VIN break on the mainsheet seal between 1999 and 2000

I ordered 2 of the 6843481 so I hope I was correct according to the Vida diagram from emanuals online.

Well I installed the new axle shaft seal, and I still have a leak I can not find because it appears to be hitting the top of the driveshaft while spinning and slinging it everywhere to the point I can not tell where it's coming from, man this is frustrating, this is the only reason we can not drive the car,it starts slowly smoking by the time i get home just from driving a few miles because it being slung onto the exhaust just below the turbo.I am beyond frustrated, ready to take it to Volvo except it is my only vehicle and the closest Volvo dealer is over 130 miles away.

I wanted to add something,I assumed it was the transmission seal because the oil level on the dipstick is right on full where it has been from day one,I checked power steering,it's full, and brake fluid reservoir both full.

It is possibly the rear main seal or could be a turbo oil pipe. Both common issues. and oil ends up where you see it.

For rear main seal, try one of the oil seal repair fluids. Can't remember the number but ATP makes one. Blue devil also do one. I have used both and they worked.

Oil lines to turbo are a pain, but a common issue.
