If the gas gauge was still working, I wonder if you'd be willing to remove the fuel transfer pump on the driver's side of the fuel tank. The easiest way would be to cut a hole in the floor under the seat bottom symmetrically to the hole for the electric pump on the passenger side and loosening three subframe bolts directly underneath a fraction of an inch to make room to pull it out. It's a bit of work but not terrible.

I have a p0460 code even after changing the electric pump and my gas gauge doesn't work. I suspect the fuel level sending unit on my transfer pump and that part is NLA.
