Do you mean the chafing in the "cup", or the indentations on the ridge?

The indentations are from me, trying to get the ball joint out. it was flush when I started the job

Boy the tan one is in good shape (I have the same thing, but slick top & auto AWD, and not as nice). Way to go! To you and your daughter. Is it T5? Nice job to both of you on keeping the Thor's away from curbs

Mine have encountered many curbs.

I did nothing Volvo task-related today, but did enjoy the new sounds reverberating from the tailpipe of our 284k XC70.

Enjoy the added power & sounds

I replaced the coil packs with SKV coil packs (after 205k miles), German quality (whatever that is worth)

Also had an alignment done after replacing the control arms. Tracking was way off, which has been sorted. Also got my "new" wheels balanced, which was needed. Drives like a dream again!

I added a little Swedish flare in the engine bay. Blue and gold on the wiper fluid cap. Coloring “Volvo” yellow on the spark plug cover. Thinking of going for a full Swedish flag on the spark plug cover...

Oh I have been, for a while now. That’s not the first DP for me. Lovely music coming from behind & minimal drone with the resonator delete on the adapted/harvested part-out R-exhaust.

Hey Andy, can you post a link for those coils?
I was able to find some from a Polish seller, but was unsure of the listing. I always enjoy your photos! Thank you for taking the time to snap them. I perpetually fail to do so. Usually because my gloves/hands are greasy. Please continue posting images.

“Dan”, as our 4-year old calls it (04 V70AWD), got a present today. If anyone has questions about this DP, let me know.

Of the different DP’s I’ve purchased & installed, this is by far thee nicest. I’m talking welds, material, gaskets, packing, versatility of a 3-piece DP, quick response time with EuroSport tuning staff/owners...I’m truly impressed. This absolutely blows the Snabb & RE-VOLVO catted or catless DP’s out of the water.

3 bungs (you’ll need a plug if you’re not running a wideband), perfect TIG welds, true (and beautiful) T304 SS pipe, v-bands, flanges, everything. This is a very inexpensive system & they ship it same day. Not waiting for the welder to jig & fabricate the system. I ordered this Tuesday, shipped same day from Ontario, delivered & installed it today (Friday). Ahh-mazing.

Was able to use the old bolts, metal washer / plate and the impact to drive the inserts in. The rear driver's side insert needed a socket extension with a jack underneath to more precisely push / squeeze it in. Probably a newer bushing. I also sprayed the subframe bushings generously with the AT-205 and it made the job harder as the rubber surfaces were rejuvenated.

If I had to do this over I would start by loosing all 4 bolts and do the insert on the driver's side rear bushing first. There is a guide pin (last photo borrowed from Swede Speed - Link Also) which the other 3 did not have. With the other 3 done first the subframe was tight and I could not flex it down enough for the O-Ring to go over the guide so had to loosen the rear passenger side again to allow the entire rear subframe to come down far enough with a large pry bar. Maybe this is why in IPD's video they show doing the driver's side first
