2006 Volvo XC90 2.5T AWD
Started out as replacing the thermostat and engine coolant sensor - discovered I cannot (at least pretty sure I can't) replace the engine coolant sensor without removing the "lower body" on the thermostat housing and to get at the "lower housing" I will need to remove the power steering pump which when I looked closer actually has a pretty good leak - so now I'm going to do both - thermostat and PS pump.
Watched/read a bunch of stuff online and it doesn't seem too bad, I'm just at a loss as to what tool I will need to loosen the tension on the power steering pump belt to eventually remove it. Do I need to buy a specific tool or can I use something common?
Thank you in advance!
What tool do I need to remove power steering pump belt - 06 XC90 2.5T

T60 Torx bit and a long ratchet.
If you need more room on the top and have the ECM tool. You can remove the top cover and sides of the ECM box. Then remove the ECM and TCM. If you do this make sure the negative battery cable is disconnected before pulling the ECM and TCM. When reconnecting battery, first turn key to POS II then reconnect battery. Reconnect battery after reinstalling ECM and TCM.
