No proof drug touted by Trump drug is effective against coronavirus:
EU

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Commission said on Tuesday there was
no evidence that a drug touted by U.S. President Donald Trump as a
potential miracle cure against COVID-19 was effective against the
disease caused by the new coronavirus.

Trump had said that hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, could be
among “the biggest game changers in the history of medicine” for its
potential effects against COVID-19.

“The efficacy of hydroxychloroquine in the treatment of COVID-19
patients has to date not been proved,” a spokesman for the European
Commission said on Tuesday, relaying an internal opinion from the
European Medicine Agency.

There will not be a USA states COVID-19 infection growth rate report today. I missed the Worldometer report last night and Wayback Machine did not record the data.
I did find out why the Washington state id not report the last couple days. The Washington state website is overloaded and getting an update.

Last week while waiting in line outside Costco I can smell the cooking / food odor from the two gentlemen in front of me. The distance between us was cart length plus. Tried to move to the side from the down wind. If that can travel so can their breath.

In HVAC studies there is a term called heat of respiration. Everything alive including vegetables are assigned a unit we must account for in removing heat during cooling. We give off heat in our breathing so how much more a cough or a sneeze. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci in a Yahoo article today headlined something like if there were enough mask everyone should be wearing one.

The medical community along with our Gov is making up medical protocols as we go along. It's common sense everyone should be wearing a mask at this time if we venture out. The distancing thing is a joke. Unfortunately, our public school system no longer teaches good science in all it's forms. Most of today's generation lack the basics of any discipline to understand the world around us including the human bodily functions.

Of course sneezing is normal and a natural process and we in general are capable of fighting off the germs but when something new and very contagious comes on the scene masks would be very helpful or necessary. Keep in mind when we exhale we are removing what the body can't use. If we trap it and breath some of it back in it is not healthy either. Mask with a flap would be the best but at this point we are told not to wear it because it would cause a panic as most people won't have access.

My daughter's physical therapist is provided with one mask a week which they are to store it in a bag when not in use so germs can incubate. The absurdity of the protocols at this time.

DIY Clorox wipes.

1 Jar or container 1.5 - 2 quarts with a mouth wide enough to get your hand in and a lid.
1 cup bleach.
3 cups water.
1 Wash cloth.

Place bleach and water in jar then mix. Drop wash cloth in jar. Put lid on jar.

To disinfect a surface. Remove wash cloth. Squeeze out excess. Wipe down surface. Return wash cloth to jar. Replace lid.

You do not need to compete with anybody to get these.

You don't need a mask, because you arent going out. If you want to make a mask, make one from cloth, and leave the N95s for the first responders, and essential workers, not for grocery shopping runs.

Grocery store only - if your store isnt supporting curbside pick up, then call the manager and get them on board.

More statistics on US states and COVID-19 growth rates. My raw information is from Worldometer. Any errors or misrepresentations are my own.

These tables show all available US states and territories and the COVID-19 data for the last 5 days. I have sorted the states alphabetically and added growth rates for last several days for all states with ranking of each day. Of course, this information changes daily. I have presented the table in two parts because of the screen shot, but it is actually one table in Excel.

Again, results change daily.
Back today with state growth rates today. I had to calculate the previous days active rate, but this number should be close to accurate. I also got creative with the 5 day moving average by leaving out the rate for March 31 for which I missed the report time.

For your information, the top 5 states yesterday in growth rate ( the worst containment) are South Dakota, Idaho, my own state Oklahoma, District of Columbia, and Louisiana. My calculated growth rate for USA is slowly dropping. Now down to 0.136 for yesterday for all states. For March 25 the rate was 0.25. By this information, the increased restrictions on social contact is working to slow the spread of infection.
