Resetting the "Time for Regular Service" Message

To reset the "time for regular service" message, the steps are:
- turn the ignition key to position I
- then press and hold the odometer reset button
- turn the key to position II
- hold the odometer reset button until the “I” message icon flashes
- quickly release the reset button and then turn the key to the off position

When you do this... don't forget to close the door when you turn the key back on to test it!

thanks Kranz, actually don't want to thank too soon cause have dealt withy this for 3 of 4 months have my 2010 volvo s40 2.4i, any advice on what to watch for with repairs for volvo….friggin great car but anotyhwer problem I have is godamn trunk wont open.....cross fingers and praying thios works for maintenance code......went from "TIME TO BOOK APPOINTMENT", to "NEEDS MAINTENANCE", to today just said "MAINTENANCE OVERDUE" but care and fluids are perfect right now?????]
