Just a quick update on the previous problem.I thought the fault was in the plug wires so I replaced with new.Although the problem of hard/no start stopped for a while, it started doing it again about 1 week ago.It went from starting on first try to 2 tries, 3 tries, 4...and today I was trying to start it for 15 minutes(motor turning over but no start)before I finally decided to start replacing things,coil...module...ballast resitor, until fixed.
Today I bought a "new" Bosch ignition coil put it on and it started up w/no hesitation, and has started strong each try since, for the first time in a week.Apparently the occasional no spark was the coil working sometimes but not others.Possibly weather/temp. related?(it's been really cold here ,for the most part, since November).
I'm guessing the hard starting and only starting immediately after shut off was the coil working only when the coil itself was warm/hot??
Anyone think that makes sense?
Thanks.
A bad coil is easy to track down, intermittent stuff is what drives me nuts and its hardly convenient to wait until it goes completely bad.
The good thing is you now have a bunch of new parts to keep you motoring.
