I think the Yugo was not so much ugly as just very poor quality. It was designed and built to a very low price point. Had a coworker with an inlaw who had a couple Yugos. He swapped parts to keep one running.

Zastava Motors did not know squat about competing in a open market. They thought they could get away with anything.

2. How many do you own now? Separate the number in driving and non driving if applicable.
My answers:

^^ I'll say!
My answers are:
1. 16
2. 5 (includes a childs car still in my name, and an old sports car on jacks)
We would enjoy seeing the 22 "other."

My neighbor and his beauty MB 500 SEC just now
I don't know much about these. V8, I know that. He said it's won several best in show awards at various car shows, and that he's had it for 31 years.
It's a stunning car in person.

Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
I considered buying a MB 500 SEC once. It may have been the 560 SEC. I actually pulled a trailer across two states to look at it. It was the top of the MB line for a coupe. 500 is a 5 liter V8. The 560 is 5.6 Liter V8. Big for a Mercedes, quiet, smooth, and moderately powerful. The example I looked at was not well maintained and priced too high. My other car brand in the fleet is MB.
