electrical issues in 2014 S60 after battery change

Post by cinematree »

I changed the battery in my 2014 S60 T6 R-Design, replacing it with the same model from Autozone. Since changing the battery, I have two issues:

1. The clock resets to 12:00 every time I start the engine.

2. The windows don't go up and down properly. When I hit down, they go down but don't go down all the way. When I hit up, they go all the way up and turn around at the top and automatically come back down. If I hold down the switch I can do it in quick jogs and get them to stay at the top.

(everything else seems to be fine)

Any ideas on how to remedy either of these issues?

Ahh, I didn't see the separation of years for the S60. Thank you for letting me know. I recreated it over there, if someone could please delete it here. Thank you.

The window issue probably just needs an auto reset. There's a procedure on earlier model years where you pull a fuse from the fuse panel in the end of the dash when the window is being operated. It is written up on here. Try searching.

I saw a youtube video explaining that kind of thing on a different model Volvo. I was hoping there might be some easier way of resetting it, but if not, I'll give that a try. Thank you for your response.

Not difficult at all. If this is the kind of thing that will send you to a mechanic, then you should sell the car now because it will eat you alive.

I am being honest, not tough.
