Nine spokes: Aquaris, Interceptor & Sentinal are the only three I can come up with. Take one wheel off and get the Volvo part number off the back.

I like the looks of the Neptune but that is me. If you buy them don't buy for me. Buy for you or your other half.

Wheel Name: Neptune
Image

Dimensions: 17x7"
Finish: 936 Bright Silver
Offset: +49mm
Centerbore: 67.1mm
Weight: 23 pounds
Part Number: 8685559
Original Fitted On: 2003-2011 XC90

Wheel Name: Interceptor

Dimensions: 17x7"
Finish: 936 Bright Silver
Offset: +49mm
Centerbore: 65.1mm
Weight: 22 pounds
Part Number: 9162393
Original Fitted On: 2001-2009 S60, 2001-2007 V70, 1999-2006 S80
.
The S80 has the Interceptors which I like. The Neptunes are nice in the picture by itself but only OK on the XC90 as they seem small and Hot Wheelish. Perhaps a lower profile tire would eliminate the Hot Wheelish look. I also thought they look kind of like the Pegasus but on the XC not at all.

Nice, Ben.
I’m strongly considering a set of 4, clean, rubber less Neptune’s for $100 ($25/round Al thing) locally as well. I honestly don’t think a ring would be necessary, plus would be an extremely thin one at that!

I got lucky today. Paid $120 for new FAG front wheel bearings (X2) and a ball joint tool as seen here.

Edit: I forgot to say, since I pretty much got 1 bearing and the ball joint tool free I think I’m gonna mail the tool to Matthew to add to the “free tool rental” program on MVS.

That would be great Pete. I thought I might have to change the ball joints on the S80 and in viewing the videos everyone is beating the day lights out of them installing it. The tool sure makes it look easy.

As for the wheels, at a hundred dollars you can put that into the spare parts bin.

As for the wheels...

I’ll ask Matt. I’d be happy to add it and maybe the fuel pump lock ring tool, bevel gear adjuster nut tool, and cam locking tools.

That happens a lot after a link is posted on MVS. If it is a good deal, somebody is not going to hesitate .
