Right beside the gentry out front. There is now a stationary gentry where the one in the picture is. I doubt there is any hope. They clear out the dollies in the same spot every day.

On my way home I seen a sign that reads "Whitewater". The name rang a bell in my head but could not recall why. Now it hit me, there is a salvage yard there that dismantles cars and sells the parts on Facebook. Lately they have been doing a rash of Volvos. Found their website, eBay store and Facebook page. Now I have another potential parts source only 30 miles away. No indication they have what I need but you never know what they have sitting out back and not on the shelf.

I appreciate that.

I definitely will need to address the manifold and cats before I do the swap. The subframe will need to be unbolted from the engine and transmission to get the pipes between the subframe and the block.

Subframe assembly is unloaded from the F150 and on a dolly. Hired a tow truck to unload it.

If you have a welder and basic skill, it is worth while to build a simple A frame for these occasional lifting jobs. A Come-a-long will work for the lifting. Mine was made from used 2.38 pipe and can be knocked down into 3 parts.

My dad made a gantry out of 6" pipe. Back then there was plenty of scrap steel to make things from.
I would think 2.38 would not carry much of load perpendicular to the length. You have the loading specs on 2.38?

Actually, the top beam is double pipe with larger pipe slipped over 2.38 OD pipe. You are likely correct that it is not suitable for a large V8 engine. Every time I used it was for small engines.
I would have to look up pipe properties. Do you want me to check? Also depends on the span between supports.

Not particularly, I am just curious. What would the technical term be for this horzonal loading characteristic? Vertical is Concentric Loading.

Located and acquired a ECM and a Air cleaner box.
Located both exhaust manifolds with cats still on the leash. Will try to acquire them tomorrow.

The horizontal beam would have bending load. The location side to side, the type of end joints and the dimensions of the beam determine the stress in the beam.

Crises over. I scored everything over the last two days.

Air box, MAF & ECM came to $60.00 total.
Manifolds with Cats came to $75.00 total.

Total ------------------------------$135.00

I'm really glad I found the Manifolds with Cats.
Was looking at:
$800.00 for Bosal ,
$1600.00 for Magnaflow,
$3000.00 for Volvo.

The B8444S came with four cats. Four Cats and VVT was Yamaha's solution to the Ultra-low-emission vehicle (ULEV II) standard. I can get the rear cats for as low as $135. Magnaflow is about $550 - $600 for the pair. I'm debating if I need them. My buddy's argument is I don't need them and I would get better flow without them. The two rear cats do not have O2 sensors.
