More trivia on this

Th camshaft reset valve , Volvo name for the VVT SOLENOID, modulated AT 250 hz

Hmmm
6000 rpm, is 100 revs per second crank, or 50 revs per second cam. The cam solenoid can be adjusted 5 times per cam rev atvWOT

COOL.

Is there such a pre-tensioning/pre-loading of these hubs, when replacing the timing belt only ?

Just adding to this thread. I calculated once that to be able to adjust cam flank, that is, camshaft position , fir every firing of the cylinder the solenoid has to be controlled at at least 250 Hz, so its doing a lot of work at 6000 rpm
