you... you need a summer home in florida too dont ya? one with a lift... fridge full of adult beverages?

honestly, that's pretty awesome. if I didn't live in van down by the river, i'd offer up a FL MVS workshop ;)
I’ve got one already with my friends June and Mike. No Philips screwdrivers allowed.

FL is too hot me in December. Rest of year, I would just melt.

Hi kklepack. What is the problem with your V70R? (I added this to the bulleted requirement list just now.)

I'm narrowing down to failing fuel pump. Rough idle and car stalls, no pressure in fuel rail when car is off. RobertDIY will be in Chicago in couple of weeks and we will tackle it.

your location - Lewisburg PA

what Volvo model/year it is - 2000 XC70 turbo

whether you have the necessary parts and tools - have all parts and tool bought timing kit from FCP

what you've done so far - Did the pcv system last September. The pcv system turned out to be much harder than I planned, that banjo bolt about broke me. When I got the manifold off the hoses all behind there were disintegrated and I replaced those as well.

how you came to your diagnosis of the problem - last timing done at 111k miles I am at 207k miles. Oil leaking badly from crank seal. I am only driving round town until this weak when the moderate leak (1 qt every 2 weeks to a month) turned into all the oil leaking while sitting. I am sure it is also leaking oil from the cam seals on the passenger side too. I am no longer driving it.

and most importantly, what the problem is - I had bought all the parts and the rear cam locking tool to do this myself but I think I am chickening out.

I don't know if anyone is near and would be willing to do my timing and seals but I have $400 I can pay. You can also have the rear cam locking tool too. It's the CTA one, I bought it used from ebay. I have an original starter which works, can be donated to the used parts thingy or take for yourself. I bought this car from my Aunts husband 6 years ago, he used it to scrap metal with so the inside is pretty wore up. The used car market is dreadful so I wanted to just fix it up. It's still a strong running car, it's been good to me.

Thanks in advance if any can help.

I Changed the fuel pressure sensor which eliminated all codes. All was good until I disconnected negative battery cable in trunk to reset light. Now getting battery light coming onBring it in and codes and showing is misfiring on three and they are saying alternator is bad. Which I never had those issues before disconnecting negative battery cable and reconnecting.
