Car radio won't turn on.

Just had my transmission rebuilt and when I got the car back the radio screen just showed "OFF". It won't let me put in the code. I'm not sure what to do

Someone might have tried to put the code in too many times.

In the manual, the procedure for restoring is listed. I believe you have to leave the car with ignition on for 3-4 hours

Yeah I read about that but I've had the car for a few days and nothing. Usually "CODE" comes up and than you put in the code (I've done it on a previous Volvo) but the word code isn't coming up it just says "OFF"....... I'll check the fuses but since it says off and the anti theft light is blinking I doubt it's a fuse.

It totally worked!!!! I almost forgot I left the car on and went to bed! Went out and it finally said "CODE" ! Code inputted and wham bam there ya have it! One working stereo.
