We could use a collaboration tool to organize this information. At the very least/basic, a shared Google spreadsheet, with revision control. I'd be the admin and add users based on their history here, or reputation elsewhere. Everyone on this thread, for starters.

Or I could "gate" it more heavily, with just a handful to users who select what gets added from a larger pool of eligible information. I'll edit and summarize, and post updates.

Greetings. I'm a long time Volvo owner but I'm new to mods and custom tunes and am having trouble finding definitive info on the subject.

It'd be cool if your initiative became a thing and I'm interested in learning more and helping however I can.

Thanks...

M-

I believe i have xdf and bin files for these before they got removed and i am interested to change my Fenix 5.2 to M4.4 which i have here on bench just for fun and learning experience.

This original creators work needs be issued what they/he owns and respect that. I can kinda feel if he pulled off and trying make money of it but i am not familiar what happened honestly then now.

Did this thread die already lol?
I have a 98 s70 t5m.
Currently tuned by Aaron owner of vast and am very impressed.
Car runs amazing and pulls hard.
I'm running the stock 16t @18psi.
Green injectors (468cc).
Kinugawa wastegate actuator with .5bar (7.5psi) spring.
Snow performance boost cooler with 60/40 water meth mix. (@10psi engage)
8.5mm swedish car parts wires.
Aem x series wideband. (No stock o2)
Silicone pressure hoses.
Ipd tcv.
Viva strut bar.
Powerstop slotted rotors w/ ceramic pads.
Ipd polyurethane torque mount.
Silicone vacuum lines.
Snabb fresh air pipe with spectre 45° elbow and a 2.5" to 3" coupler to 3" ractive cone filter.
Leistung 3" downpipe.
2.5 vband test pipe to magnaflow to 3" fart can.
Have ipd 3 gauge pillar pod (wideband, glowshift boost gauge, soon snow stage 2 progressive controller).
Stage zero was done first ipd tb kit, denso plugs .026, elring gaskets, doorman distributor rotor, etc etc.
Have launch control set at 4400rpm @5psi perfect for street tires.
I'm looking at re-volv r manifold with t3 housing and td05-18g with rb skyline style housing and cbv provision as avoiding bov style setup.
According virtual dyno with tuner pro import data log with 3rd gear flat rd pull it made a jump from 268whp and 340ft lbs to a wmi tune now rated 295whp and 388ft lbs.
I wanna break the 300whp barrier and eat sti's, focus rs, and evo's lol.
I know a lot of unnecessary information to the post.
But although Aaron had been instrumental to this light build I would love ability and knowledge tune myself.
I have the rev6b xdf but is not compatible with current bin I'm assuming it is up to rev7 or + at this point.
Taking a 450 bin and editing boost target is one thing. But getting it to run full lambda regulation with no stock o2 and green injectors is well beyond my means.

New here, ive done some extensive reading about the 4.4 motronic diy tuning. Ive read the wiki idk how many times. I downloaded tuner pro, ive opened my ecu up. Ive done my stage 0 restoration. The part i am hung up on is what interface cable do i buy? I dont want to buy the wrong one. And when i look online there is so many that have the ftdi232rl chip, how do i know its legit? Anyone have a link? Im sure this has been brought up a thousand times already. And i apologize for that. The link on the wiki doesnt work anymore. Or their out of stock at the very least. Its the simplest things that i get hung up on. Thanks for the patience..

I have a vag com cable I bought years ago. It works with vol vcr and some other older software. It is serial rs232 so will only work with older computers. For newer computers I bought the Trendnet TU-S9 to convert serial to usb. I can still use vol fcr and can tune in tunerpro. So that's one option you can do as I can confirm it works. Other option would be to try one that is supposedly ftdi232rl and hope it works.

As for this thread, I did save quite a bit from the wiki, VS, etc so I have some of the programs and files to get this jump started.

Really keen to see this get picked up again. I have a budget 850 race car with a turbo engine and manual swapped in.
Trying to get my M4.4 to flash to manual to go and do some endurance racing.
Any future progress on this would be most helpful!

What progress do you need? Flashing a manual tune, logging, updating, re-flashing is pretty well sorted.

Bump. Can we resurrect this thread and organize the bin files for us all to play with? Can you still download them using archive.org ? I can't find any m4.3 stuff. I need some help if anyone can. I remember to put it in flashing mode you need to jump some pins, which I will just put in a switch for that, but which pins?

I'm digging into this today. Here's a M4.3 description PDF. I can't find any binaries also. I'll put out a call.

Motronic 4.3

NEW Here is a zip of 18 .bin binaries I believe are 4.3

I Googled the file name of one of them to try to get some sort of cross-reference description I could add to each, but I had no luck. If you know, please add it to this thread and I'll list these out properly with descriptions... like "HPT - auto" and "HPT - manual" etc.

Motronic 4.4

From https://m44.fandom.com/wiki/Binaries_an ... wnloads%3A in case anything happens to Fandom.com...

NEW Here is a zip of 31 .bin binaries I believe are 4.4

Like the 4.3 binaries, please post here if you know how to add descriptions to these.
