I had a boss once who really liked to tell the difference between cowboys and engineers.
One has crap on the outside of his boots and the other on the inside.

I think he liked cowboys better.

I took my wagon to the canyons last weekend! I think I need a new O2 sensor, and the motor started to heat up on the climb up my favorite road, so it still needs some work. I had to take it easy on the climb and catch up to my friends on the downhill sections.

But the handling was great, even on garbage tires. The gearing is long, but in 2nd there's enough torque to squirt between corners with no shifts and no lag. The Quaife delivers power out of corners with minimal drama. I expected the orange Konis to be a little squidgy, but the car settles smoothly into corners and the sways and springs keep it flat. The rear stays planted over rough pavement. I wish the steering were faster and the seats narrower. Otherwise I really did not expect it to feel as sorted as it did. I'm excited to get decent rubber on it, fix the O2, and give it another go.

Changed the oil and replaced the oil cooler o-ring on the XC90. Sprayed the hell out of it all with brake cleaner, hopefully it stays leak-free now!

Also finally replaced my carpet and floor insulation in the R. I had the insulation out to dry in the sun the past couple days, fortunately it's been nice and sunny here this week so it didn't take long to dry completely. I sprayed down the "new" carpet (from my cousin's old V70) with Oil Eater and pressure washed it, now it doesn't have that nasty smell they always have. A couple small dirt stains that are left should come out with some Folex.
It looks much flatter now that I have the seat and trim in place.

Great use of the cherry picker. I remember as a kid when me and my dad tried pulling out a stump using his Volvo 164 and a large chain. Car almost pulled apart but the stump never moved so we just left it and it was never spoken of again.

Edit: this was the same model just not as tricked out as this one.
