Broken vacuum line?

Post by JLv70t5 »

1998 v70 t5. Replaced my boost control valve today and noticed this vacuum line was broken off I have no idea where it's supposed to go. I have an intermittent service light for EVAP. Is this related? Can anyone help me out?

That one connects to the TCV, to the straight nipple on the end with the two nipples. I'd wholesale review all of the vacuum lines.

EVAP code is probably one of the other, 22 year old vac lines has crumbled or has a pinhole etc. Likely unrelated.

That current open line is allowing unmetered air into the intake past the MAF, so the engine is running lean (very bad) or the ECU is compensating and it is running rich (less bad but still undesirable).

Frankly I would plan to replace all of the vacuum lines. But start with re-plumbing the TCV lines, go from there.

Take the big air hose off. You will find the other end of the small hose below and near the back of the head.

You think this goes back to the FPR? I think it's to the TCV ...

I just took a quick look at my "98 C70 to see where the line is heading.

The other end terminates at a air pipe. Nipple at the metal pipe.
