My wife was at the store last week, ran in for about 10 minutes and came back to a no crank no start situation. Being her, she had someone help her jump it thinking the battery was dead.
No dice. She got a ride home and left it at the store.
I went to go get the car that night, hooked up my UltraGauge, which said 0340 and 0375, I had the car towed home, ordered 2 replacement camshaft sensors and swapped them out. Codes seem to have gone but the CEL is still on, and flashes 9 or 10 times before going solid. Still nothing. I have checked the fuses and relays, everything seems good. The engine is actually super clean. Left the battery D/C overnight to be safe.
I attempted to jump the ignition relay directly but just got sparks, nothing else. And now I’m also getting P0725 and P1719 In pending after checking all the relays and a DSTC message on the dash.
If someone could perhaps guide me through this, weve only owned the vehicle for a year and have already had to drop 1400$ on replacing 2 pumps and something with the oil pressure system/diaphragm back in December. Has been fine since then until now.
Few things, I have heard some Volvo’s have a second battery for the starter, but I can’t find one. Where is the starter located, I’d like to try and look at it. And could bad ignition wires/plugs actually prevent this dead silent start? I’ve never had a vehicle so quiet when attempting to start. I can hear what sounds like the fuel pump engaging but that’s about the only sound I get. There is one component in the facing front left under the hood, that hums, but I’m not sure what it is or if that’s normal.
There’s nothing on YouTube for this specific model so I’m struggling
