What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

It’s amazing how quickly things can spread from one Volvo to another. I try to keep mine parked at least 10’ apart!

Last month my S40 started misfiring. Cleaning the connector to the MAF was all it took to make it fly right. Check and clean electrical connectors.

On a older car, an afternoon cleaning electrical connectors is preventive maintenance.

What is your contact clearing method? Spray and wiggle?

MAF cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Scrub with a Acid brush. Bristles cut down so it is stiffer.

Use Dental Interdental Brushes for the tight spaces.

Put a mask on the front of they are closer than 6 feet

I went to plug the signal wire back on my alternator and the plug fell off.

Sometime in March I changed the oil in 4 of the 5 cars with various brands of motor oil. Today I went ahead and changed out again the oil filter and the Kirkland Brand 0W-30 to Castrol 03101 EDGE 0W-40. This is the first use of this oil. It went into the 19 VW Atlas because VW requires oil that Meets VW 502.00.

Although Costco's is around half the price and is excellent the Castrol Edge is better. The engine is almost silent. Being 0W-40 it would be a more suitable oil for the NC summers. So this is the oil I will be switching to for our 2 Volvos & VW. The Honda & Lexus will finish off the Rotella T6 (5W-40), Rotella Car & Trunk (0W-30), Kirkland (0W-30) and Motul (0W-40) before getting the Castro Edge.

Castrol 0W-30 made my Ranger's 4.0 run silently. I've become a Castrol fan.

Today I raised my air cleaner box in order to change a wee 5W5 side marker light.
It's actually laughable that the blinker socket is removed to gain access.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it was that simple.

I need a replacement rear "pronged retainer" for the air cleaner box. The slot in the sheet metal it fits into is empty.

Some had been wearing mask for decades and calling them Bras. Maybe out of all this they will get the terminology right.
