How do I rotate the pistons to reach tdc for all 5 cylinders on my 03 s60 awd. Trying to perform a cylinder leak down test. Cannot find any videos for this car. Pictures, video appreciated.

Put a poo stick in each cylinder and rotate the crank,30 mm wrench, until the stick reaches max height on each cylinder, test leak down, next cylinder...repeat .

Note the tim8ng marks on crank and cam have nothing to do with indicating TDC

Install the tester in cylinder. Turn crank with a 30mm socket clockwise. Watch the the tester. The pressure will go up when all the valves are closed. When the pressure peaks you found top dead center on the compression stroke.

My way is superior because it takes twice as long, this putting you in better touch with your cars’ chi.

I figured it out. Found a video on YouTube of someone doing a timing belt change and he showed how to do this. Cylinder leak down test complete
