Abby and I pulled the dash from Evita and out the tape where it belongs, on the underside. This looks completely clean from the cabin and also works totally to elinate squeaks. I used clear liquid two part epoxy by JB Weld to rebuild mounts and strengthen cracks

Ok, I get the idea. I think i'm going to tackle the dash removal and put butyl tape under the dash area, seems like there aren't to many screws to remove it, so I assume like 4 screws from inside through AC vents somehow then what, 4 from engine bay side, it might be a bit of a pain but at least it will be a permanent fix I hope.

All th steering wheel trim, switches, air bag, steering wheel come off

Center console out

Foot kick panels off
Passenger glove box, then air bag connection

I didn't realize the entire front had to come out just to remove the dash. Guess this project won't get done after all.

When your AC stops holding charge and you know your Evap is done that is the time to take out the dash and fix all that stuff. Find a DIY and bookmark in the VRD

Toughest part...finding a relativly shallow Torx bit to release the two captive screws holding the airbag to the steering wheel. A socket type won’t work as the holes are narrow. A screwdriver type works ok. Seat them well, clamp a vice grip (tm) on it to crack them loose.

Don’t strip them ...

It looks worse than it is. Robert (rspi) even has youtube vids describing the procedure.
