identify electric components

Post by mirage »

Hi, i am rebuilding a S60R 2004 model some of the electric connectors in the engine bay are missing. I down loaded a wiring diagram free from the net but it seems to be missing the pages that identifies the components. and some of the component of the R are also not shown. ( VVT solenoids. Cam sensors ect) can someone may assist with wire colours for these components.

Thanks

mirage - can you provide more details. Specifically what is the story on the car, did it come with an engine harness? Is the original engine remaining? Are you putting in a different engine?

What wire diagram are you using? Generally the wire diagram references a connector via a number.

Maybe with some more detail we can help you get this sorted, but right now there are too many unknowns to even start.

I use an online wiring diagram downloaded (free) and have found it fairly accurate.
Keep searching the internet, i have not been able to find a wiring diagram for my 2001xc70 but the 2002xc70 is close enough.

Some of the wire colours have been changed through the years. you really need to use a multi-meter to track each wire.
